For 7 years, PSAR has been activating children, youth and adults, developing and implementing programs in the area of education, culture and civic responsibility. The association has published  (board games and books, managed Internet portals (,, as well as carried a total of nearly 40 other initiatives with local, regional and international scope.

It cooperates with other NGOs, local governments, educational institutions and cultural institutions on a permanent basis. It is a laureate of many awards, including the "High Flying NGO” awarded by the Marshal of the Subcarpathian Voivodeship (2017 and 2018) and the Quality Mark of Social and Solidarity Economy, awarded by the Minister of Family and Social Policy (2020 and 2021).

As a social enterprise, it employs 7 people and provides them with computers and other ICT equipment as well as a company car.

Since 2019, it has been cooperating with Ukrainian partners, and in the years 2020-21 the association implemented the project "Culture in the Kiev region - regional education for preschoolers" (donor: Polish-American Freedom Foundation under the RITA program - changes in the region). Some of its results are available on the websites and The project was noticed by the Ukrainian authorities and educators, who considered it to be a model in the field of cultural education of children. Similar programs were to be carried out in 3 subsequent regions of Ukraine, but were interrupted by the Russian invasion.

At present, PSAR is implementing in Rzeszów a plan to create a Support, Integration and Activation Center for refugees, dedicated to children, adolescents and adults. The center will be open 10 hours a day and will perform three main functions:

  1. Childcare - about 40 persons a day;
  2. Information and activation point for adults;
  3. Integration with Poles.

Specialists from Ukraine (1/2 to 2/3 of the staff) are also to be employed in this center.

Additionally, in response to the urgent need to support mothers and children fleeing the war, PSAR developed and implemented a series of events called "Care-free Days". It is a form of therapeutic support that integrates, strengthens and improves the well-being of children who are unable to work through their war experiences on their own through appropriate classes, performances ,and therapeutic and artistic workshops.

About 200 children from Ukraine and Subcarpathia were present at the first event. During it, a video connection was also established with the city of Kherson, occupied by Russia. 35 children from Kherson took part in animations, prepared and presented their artworks, and thus participated in the Carefree Day. In the opinion of the Ukrainian co-organizers of the event, contact with the world without war had great therapeutic value for them.

Therefore, PSAR has human, material and substantive resources to run the Center.

In order to be able to implement this type of valuable activities, the Association urgently needs and is looking for premises with a size of 250 - 400 sq m. It is also necessary to provide financial support for launching and running the Center, as well as implementing modern solutions that have been tested in other countries and that activate and integrate Refugees with local communities.
